Shelley is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 30 years’ experience across alcohol rehabilitation, medico-legal neuropsychology, public mental health and private practice.
​
After extensive training in CBT, ACT and mindfulness-based therapies, Shelley trained in EMDR in 2016 and has since centred her work on using EMDR with trauma-related presentations, as well as with clients experiencing depression, anxiety disorders and grief. Her approach to more complex presentations is guided by structural dissociation theory and parts-based frameworks, supporting safe, attuned and effective EMDR processing.

Shelley brings a calm, thoughtful and collaborative supervision style, aimed at building clinician confidence, strengthening ethical decision-making and supporting intentional skill development.​​​​​

Carmel has worked as a psychologist for many years, primarily in private practice, with additional experience gained interstate and overseas.
​
EMDR has been a core part of her practice since 2016 and Carmel has worked with a wide range of clients and presentations , developing a broad EMDR repertoire. She often works with clients navigating PTSD, C-PTSD, chronic pain and attachment rupture, alongside other complex difficulties.
​
​
Carmel has a warm, supportive and engaging approach to supervision. She has co-facilitated EMDR trainings and group supervision and she enjoys supporting clinicians to build confidence in the EMDR Standard Protocol, deepen their case formulation skills and strengthen their capacity to navigate complex client presentations with clarity and care.​​

Carmel currently has some capacity to accept new consultees.

We offer individual and group consultation for mental health clinicians, alongside clinical supervision and EMDR therapy. Reduced rates may be available for full-time students, not-for-profit clinicians, and those supporting low-income clients—please enquire.

Consultation to complete your EMDR basic training.
After you have completed your Basic EMDR Training program, 10 hours of consultation with an EMDRAA Accredited Consultant are required to attain full EMDRAA membership.

Group Sessions
If you have a group of 2 or more, we can arrange a group consultation - maximum 4 per group.

Cost: $240 (incl. GST) per hour (divisible by number in group - e.g. 4 person group =$60 each incl. GST )

Individual Consultation

1 hour individual 1:1 consultation/supervision

Cost: $210 (incl. GST) per hour.

EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner pathway
To gain accreditation as an EMDRAA Practitioner you need to have completed a recognized EMDRAA training, have had at least 1 year's clinical experience using EMDR, have completed at least 50 EMDR sessions, and have treated at least 25 different clients. You also need to have at least 10 hours of consultation (including 5 individual sessions).

If you have a group of 2 or more, we can arrange a group consultation. Each participant must have 30 minutes, so group minimum length is no. of participants X 30 minutes.

Cost: $240 per hour (divisible by number in group - e.g. 4 person group =$60 each).

These groups can also be attended by Consultants-in-Training who wish to develop their group consultation skills.

EMDRAA Accredited Consultant Pathway
To apply for accreditation as a consultant, you need to be an accredited practitioner and have completed 20 hours of consultation (minimum10 hours individual) since gaining your practitioner accreditation. You also need to have completed at least 300 EMDR sessions, treated a minimum of 75 clients and demonstrate competency in both your provision of consultation and your clinical work.

If you have a group of 2 or more, we can arrange a group consultation. Each participant must have 30 minutes, so group minimum length is no. of participants X 30 minutes.
